Business Management Program

Amelia High School

Through the combined efforts of Great Oaks and Amelia High School the Business Management Program is here to offer students an opportunity to explore aspects of a business career including life skills.  Our program is divided into three classes with an internship class your senior year to gain paid or unpaid experience.

Class
  Introduction to Business Sophomores
  Marketing/Entrepreneurship Juniors
  Management/Finance/Acctg. Seniors
  Internship Seniors

After completion of the program and required state testing during your junior and senior year students will be eligible for articulated credits through UC Clermont, Cincinnati State, and Hocking College.  In addition, we currently offer a FREE 3 semester presentation class through UC Clermont during the senior year by using information taught through the program and AEP project in English to complete the requiements.

All students in a business class are required to join Business Professionals of America (BPA) $15.00 additional fee.  BPA encourages and provides the opportunity for the development of leadership skills, personal and professional growth, and career related competencies.  Involvement in Business Professionals of America will enhance social awareness, civic responsibility, and understanding of the business community.

Ohio Means Jobs
Ohio Means Jobs site offers free practice tests for all high school, college, and career tests.

Each year all students participate in regional competitions that can lead to state or national success.  This past school year our chapter had six students go on to National competitions in Anaheim, CA!  Our chapter has been successful over the past years with many students achieving state officer positions or attending state and nationals on competitions.

2017 Spring Flower Fundraiser helps support student success at state and national competitions.  Please support Business Professionals of America by ordering spring flowers from a member or email or calling Becky Landen (513) 236-2129 orders due 4/25/17.  They will be delivered May 3 and 4, 2017. To help support our chapter success BPA continually sponsors fundraisers to help defray costs of travel and expenses for students.  Please sign up your Kroger Plus card online and enter our code #83528 in for Community Rewards to help us raise funds throughout the year.  It does not cost you money or Kroger Rewards points.
