Dear Brantner Families,
Can you believe it is December already?! It is a wonderful time of the year and our students’ excitement for the holidays, to see snow, to serve and be served, to be a part of our school community is certainly all reason to celebrate. Thank you to all who donated to our food drive this past week. Your generosity will support our Brantner families and help fill our food pantry to support families who are not food secure right now. If you are interested in receiving one of these baskets, please email me, firstname.lastname@example.org, or call and talk with Mrs. Basler, 513-943-6400.
Our fifth graders wrapped up their reading of, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo, as a part of their book club opportunity this month. This gorgeous book is about how we can genuinely learn to be cared for and take care of one another. As a culminating activity, our fifth graders sorted the food items brought in for our drive so our PTO can easily create holiday food baskets for our Brantner families.
Our PTO held their annual Sundaes at Lunch on Friday to celebrate the food drive service project. Thank you to Michelle Cordes, Chelsea Moeller, and Amber Shebesta for making the Sundaes at Lunch a sweet treat for all of our students. Our students were grateful for the opportunity to serve and be served!
Community Engagement Conversations
Thank you to the Brantner parents who served as representatives of our school as they took part in two Community Engagement Committee meetings in November to offer insight to the redistricting work ahead for the West Clermont School District. Here is the link to our district website with insight to these conversations and some of the work that is being done to be intentional with the next necessary steps.
Brantner Elementary Science Mania Club - Grades 1 & 2
STEM Permission Slip 2019 (1).docx
Attached is a flyer for a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Club opportunity for our first and second graders that a first grade parent is bringing to Brantner Elementary again this year. This opportunity would make an outstanding gift that would keep on giving as your child joins an after school club that will certainly spark their imagination starting in January!
