Immunization Requirements! Attention All 6th Grade Parents/Guardians:  All students entering the 7th grade in the fall of 2017 are required to show proof of receiving the Tdap and Meningicoccal (MCV4) vaccines BEFORE attending school. Please see the attached letter and form to be completed by your child’s physician. TRANSITION MEETING: On Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 6:30pm there will be an important information meeting for all current 5th grade parents regarding the transition to 6th grade @ West Clermont Middle School.  Meeting topics will include:  teaming, MS schedule, student services, encore/core classes and other exciting topics!  Please make plans now to attend the meeting in the Glen Este High School Performing Arts Center and meet WCMS principal, Lori Crowe; assistant principals, and members of the counseling staff.  Please see the attached flyer for more details.  Please call 513-947-7700 with any questions – thanks and we look forward to meeting you on May 11th. /userfiles/922/my files/wcms transition meeting for parents.pdf?id=8810

Once upon a Wolf: May 12th – 6:30pm at the PAC.  Join us for a performance by our DRAMA CLUB.  This is the first play our GEMS students have performed in many years.  The students and teachers have worked very hard.  Please come out and enjoy the show.  Tickets will NOT be sold for this show.  Donations will be greatly appreciated.

8th Grade Dance An Evening in Paris:  Final 8th grade dance at GEMS  Friday, May 19th, 6:00 – 8:00pm.  Tickets will be on sale Thursday and Friday at lunchtime for $5.00.  Casual and Simi-formal apparel should be school appropriate.  PTO will also have a photo booth set up!  /userfiles/922/my files/evening in paris.pub?id=9886

8th Grade Awards Night: On Wednesday, May 24,2017 we will be celebrating our 8th graders at the PAC.  Every 8th grade student will walk across the stage and receive a certificate of completion.  Due to limited space at the PAC we split up the teams at different times: TEAM 8-1  - 6:00pm; TEAM 8-2  - 6:00pm; TEAM 8-3  - 7:30pm  Please join us to celebrate the success of our students! 

GEMS CAFÉ’:  At this time of the year the Café’ will no longer allow students to charge breakfast or lunches.  You can still put money on their account via EZPay or send cash with your student.  If the student does not have money they will receive cheese or peanut butter sandwich, vegetable/fruit, milk.

BAND CONCERT: Monday May 8th our final GEMS band concert for all grades.  7:00pm at the PAC, please join us to enjoy our talented band students.

GLEN ESTE ALUMNI FAREWELL WEEKEND EXTRAVAGANZA: As we all know 53 years of tradition are coming to an end this May, as GEHS will be closed in order to help pave the way towards the future West Clermont High School.  However, we are giving our school a farewell it deserves and getting together our alumni one last time on these hallowed grounds.  Friday May 19th will lead-off the events, as the Performing Arts Alumni host their "Red Carpet Farewell,” followed by Saturday May 20th which is the HUGE EVENT.  Running from 12:00pm - 4:00pm, we will be turning our campus into one last party for the whole family.  Take final tours, jump in the bouncy houses, eat from the various food trucks, drink, purchase GEHS Sports Memorabilia, play the GEHS Trivia game for prizes and much more. May 23 = Board of Education Meeting, 7pm – Union Township Civic Center

May 24 = 8th grade awards (teams Jade & Ruby at 6:00pm; team Emerald at 7:30pm)

May 25 = Shine Day

Greetings from the My Energy Kit Challenge! Our school will win $250 for every 100 kits requested.  Families and staff can request their FREE Energy Kit and credit your school by going online to MyEnergyKit.org or by calling our hotline at 1-855-386-9548.

2017-2018 School Year Enrollment Information 

It is that time of year again.  Central Enrollment will be sending our SnapCode letters via email soon.  We will also be starting the Open Enrollment and Intra-District Enrollment application acceptance period.  Please see additional information below.   

 2017-2018 Open Enrollment (Inter-District Enrollment)

  • Applications must be submitted for (inter-district) on the official school district enrollment website and submitted on-line to the West Clermont’s Central Enrollment Office.
  • Applications will be submitted electronically by parents/guardians starting May 1, 2017 and this application process will be open until June 15, 2017.
  • Application Approval- Requests will be acted upon - approval or denied by August 1st,with notification via letter from the

Superintendent / School Principal.

  • Application approvals are on an annual basis and must be re-approved in accordance with the Open Enrollment

 Policy 5113.01 each year.  This includes a new application each year.  Failure to reapply may result in loss of Open Enrollment

Seat. 

  • Approval of such transfers is contingent upon: building capacity and student teacher ratio numbers. 
  • Transportation will not be provided to students enrolled under Open Enrollment Status.

 2017-2018 Intra-District Enrollment (Building to Building K-5)

  • Applications must be submitted for (Building to Building) on the official school district enrollment website and submitted on-line to the West Clermont’s Central Enrollment Office.
  • Applications will be submitted electronically by parents/guardians starting May 1, 2017 and this application process will be open until June 15, 2017.Application Approval- Requests will be acted upon - approval or denied by August 1, 2017 with notification via letter from

the Superintendent / School Principal.

2017-2018 New Student Registration for West Clermont Students…

  • Go online to our Enrollment Webpage at www.westcler.k12.oh.us
  • Click on Departments and then Central Enrollment
  • Click on the 2017-2018 Enrollment link
  • Begin the registration process.  Once you have completed the online process, you will need to make an appointment with Veronica Weaver 
  • If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call our Central Office at 513-943-5042 or email at weaver_v@westcler.org.

 2017-2018 SNAPCODE Returning West Clermont Students…

  • Soon all RETURNING West Clermont Students will be emailed a SnapCode.  Once you receive your SnapCode you will follow the same procedure as last year.  You will need to go in and update any new information.
  • Please complete your SnapCode registration As Soon As Possible
  • Go online to our Enrollment Webpage at www.westcler.k12.oh.us
  • Click on Departments and then Central Enrollment
  • Click on verify your registration information in the body of the letter
  • Click on SnapCode Verification
  • Enter your child’s SnapCode
  • Complete your child’s SnapCode Process
  • Remember to hit the SUBMIT button when you have completed the process

What if I Do Not Have Access to a Computer or WI-FI at Home?

  • Visit the West Clermont Central Enrollment Office.  We are open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  You do not need an appointment! Our staff will be there to help facilitate the process and answer your questions.
  • You can also stop by your school office for technology assistance.  Please call ahead. 
  • You can also use your local library for technology and Wi-Fi.
