Here are the announcements for the week of February 5th, 2018
We continue to have a great time in our advisory learning about how to use character strengths in new and different ways, promoting social and emotional learning skills. In our current unit, we are will be focusing on developing a deeper social awareness. Through activities in this unit, your child will become more mindful of others’ emotions and perspectives. Students will practice being more considerate while learning to read social cues. And, most importantly for their ongoing success in life, they will deepen their understanding of cultural similarities and differences, gradually developing a desire to contribute in positive ways to the community. How many times a day do you see your child engaged in genuine connection? What do you think your child is learning about others? Learning new ways to develop and maintain strong connections will serve your child throughout their lives. Feel free to touch base with us if you’d like additional ideas for focusing your child’s individual strengths as identified in the first quarter of school. We love watching our West Clermont Middle School students embrace their place in the world as they come to understand what it means for them to be “at their best.”

Wolves Wellness Center
We are excited to announce a new partnership with the District and HealthSource of Ohio to launch a School Based Health Center at West Clermont Middle School. The Wolves Wellness School Based Health Center will be available to students and staff across the district, as well as our community. It will provide medical, vision and behavioral health services during the school day. The program does not take the place of your current physician. More information was made available this week as students have been sent home with packets, including consent forms this week. We’ve also attached the 2 consent forms for ages 0-11 and 12-17.
Immunization Requirements! Attention All Current 6th Grade Parents/Guardians
All students entering 7th grade in the Fall of 2018 are now required by Ohio school law to show proof of the TDap booster vaccine (to protect against Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis), and the Meningicoccal (MCV4) vaccine (to protect against Meningitis) BEFORE starting school in August 2018. Any student who has not had these immunizations prior to entering 7th grade may not be permitted to attend school until proof of these immunizations has been received by the school, so do not delay. Many students have already had these and documentation just needs to be sent to school to complete your child’s health record. If they have not received, don’t wait! Make your appointments now as clinics tend to fill up towards the end of summer and cause exclusion from school. Documentation may be sent in to school or faxed to 753-1070, Attention Health Clinic.
