Important Lunch Information
The cafeteria can only put a block on a student’s lunch account with the parent’s permission. If you’d like to put a block or limit on extra lunch spending, please call 513-947-7406 and speak to the cafeteria manager to place these blocks appropriately. They will not be allowed order extra items if they are negative in their lunch account. Please sign up for EZ Pay to help keep track and add money to your students lunch account as needed. The website is: https://www.spsezpay.com/WestClermont/ezpay/Login.aspx You will need your student’s ID number. Please call 513-947-7400 if you need that information to sign up for EZ Pay.

Immunization Requirements! Attention All Current 6th Grade Parents/Guardians
All students entering 7th grade in the Fall of 2018 are now required by Ohio school law to show proof of the TDap booster vaccine (to protect against Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis), and the Meningicoccal (MCV4) vaccine (to protect against Meningitis) BEFORE starting school in August 2018. Any student who has not had these immunizations prior to entering 7th grade may not be permitted to attend school until proof of these immunizations has been received by the school, so do not delay. Many students have already had these and documentation just needs to be sent to school to complete your child’s health record. If they have not received, don’t wait! Make your appointments now as clinics tend to fill up towards the end of summer and cause exclusion from school. Documentation may be sent in to school or faxed to 753-1070, Attention Health Clinic.
Thank you Mr. Saucedo
This week, the WCMS 7th Grade Band students had the honor and privilege of working with world renowned music educator and composer Richard Saucedo. In the hour we spent with Mr. Saucedo, the gain was tremendous. The kids learned an immense amount about rehearsal culture, teamwork, listening across the ensemble, and working together to create the highest quality musical experiences. Mr. Saucedo is currently Director of Bands, Emeritus after retiring from the William H. Duke Center for the Performing Arts at Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana. During his 31-year tenure, Carmel bands received numerous state and national honors in the areas of concert band, jazz and marching band. Mr. Saucedo is a freelance arranger and composer, having released numerous marching band arrangements, concert band and orchestral works, as well as many choral compositions. His concert band works have been performed all over the world by middle school and high school bands, as well as by college and university groups. He is the author of two DVDs entitiled "Dynamic Music," on the subject of rehearsing the marching band wind section. He is also featured in two DVDs on concert band rehearsal techniques, available from Dynamic Music/Marching. Mr. Saucedo currently travels throughout the country as an adjudicator, clinician and guest conductor. Please see our facebook page with photos of this event.
Parents who do pick up and drop off – Please take a look at the attached traffic pattern for WCMS. The only way INTO WCMS for a parent to drop off is via Amelia-Olivebranch entrance toward Clough Pike. You MUST circle through and go out through the back exit by the baseball fields. Please do not swing around and attempt to go ‘out’ through the entrance. This is dangerous for all involved. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
