The West Clermont School District, after consulting with the Clermont County Engineer’s Office and The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit, has evaluated the traffic flow pattern for parent drop off and pick up at West Clermont Middle School. It has been determined that there will be a change in the traffic pattern effective October 2, 2017. There will be one entrance and one exit during parent drop off and pick up. The maps below highlight the new routes. The yellow arrows indicate the current parent entrance, drop off and pick up. This entrance, drop off and pick up will remain the same. The blue arrows indicate the new exit behind the football field.
The district is working hard to clear the exit in preparation of the new traffic pattern. In cooperation with the Clermont County Engineer’s Office and Batavia Township, additional signage and lights are going to be placed on Amelia Olive Branch to increase awareness of the school zone and slow traffic during student drop off and pick up.
The main entrance on Clough Pike to West Clermont Middle School will only be open from 7:00am – 1:00pm. The district must rely on prompt bus service at the middle school to accommodate the elementary schools in the district. In order to avoid a disruption in the bus service there is no viable option to use the Clough Pike entrance while the buses are there. The district appreciates your patience during the transition to your new middle school. The safety of our students, parents and staff is always are primary concern.
