Weekly Update

Hello WV family.  This is Mrs. Kennedy principal of WV Elementary.

Thank you for reading the following information.

  • I want to congratulate those students whose art work was on display at the District Art Show! WV students were very well represented. Thank you Mrs. Ballitch for putting together this display. If you read this early, there’s still time to visit the show at WCHS from 12 – 4 pm.
  • Can you believe there are only 8 days of school left?
  • Monday the 21st is Day 5 of Specials.
  • Monday the 21st is the last Student Council meeting in the Media Center until 4:45 pm.
  • Tuesday the 22nd is the 1st grade field trip. Please see information from your child’s teacher.

  • Wednesday the 23rd is Day 7 of Specials.
  • Wednesday the 23rd is the Student of the Month lunch.
  • Wednesday the 23rd you should receive an email with your Snapcode. Please follow the instructions to verify your child’s information as soon as it is received. Obviously at the conclusion of the event, we will shuttle you back to your car but please allow children to ride the bus home at the end of the school day and not the shuttle back to your car. I want to ensure you that we will be in contact with the bus garage so you do not miss the start of the event. Don’t forget to wear Red, White and Blue…and sunscreen. Students may also bring a towel to sit on.
  • A few announcements: 1. 2018-2019 Kindergarten Registration – I know there are more KG students coming to school next year! Please encourage your friends and neighbors in our community to register! It is crucial as we determine staffing needs for next school year.  2. Please see the attached Basketball Camp flyer.  3. As the weather is getting nicer, we are having issues with pets at dismissal. Please, NO pets should be on campus at arrival or dismissal.
  • Looking ahead for the week of May 28th, we will have field day, 5th grade field trip, Economics Fair, report cards go home, KG Celeberation, 5th Grade Recognition and the last day of school.
