All students in 12th grade in the fall of 2017, are required by Ohio school law to show proof of the following immunization BEFORE starting school:

• Meningococcal (MCV4) (to protect from Meningitis)

  • If your student will be receiving the first dose of the Meningitis (MCV4) and is now 16 years of age or older, only one dose is required for school attendance in the 12th grade.

Any 12th grade student who has not shown proof of receiving the vaccination will be excluded from school beginning on Monday October 2nd.

To help with this process our partners at Health Source Ohio will be holding clinic hours for any Senior at West Clermont High School to get their updated vaccine.  The clinic hours will be held on Thursday September 14th from 5:00pm - 7:15pm in the Community Rooms at West Clermont High School.  All students must complete and bring with them their drivers license or School ID and the Health Source Ohio registration packet linked below.  If you have any questions please contact District Nurse Heather Burns at  burns_h@westcler.org.

2017-2018 School Year Start Times

With opening of West Clermont High School and West Clermont Middle School we knew there would be an increased demand on traffic in the area of the two schools and on bus transportation.  To help with the increased traffic in the area, Clough Pike will be widened between McMann Road, and Bach-Buxton Road.  The construction is currently underway and is scheduled to be completed by June 30th.  Additionally, West Clermont Middle School will begin the day at 7:00am and West Clermont High School will begin the day at 7:45am to allow the middle school traffic to filter out before the high school traffic arrives.

To overcome transportation issues such as geography, the length of the routes, and the ability of a bus to complete the middle school route and then get to their elementary route the district has to absorb 8 buses to make sure they can make the run to West Clermont Middle School and then turn around and make their elementary routes.  To accommodate this, Brantner Elementary will be moved to being a late starting school beginning with the 2017-2018 school year.  The school day at Brantner will now run from 9:20am – 3:55pm.

Brantner will join Holly Hill, Merwin,  Summerside, Willowville, and Withamsville Tobasco as late starting schools.  Both Amelia Elementary and Clough Pike Elementary will still begin the day at 8:20am.
