AHS vs GEHS coming soon

They are "The Walkers." @Stephanie Walker, AHS Principal, and @Bob Walker GEHS Principal, look forward to the friendly rivalry. Football game day opener, Aug. 29.  Cincinnati Enquirer story is here

Position Available

Glen Este Middle School has potential employment available for 14.5 hours a week to assist students.  Please apply at the main office (943-5029) if interested and mention GEMS!

Safe Schools; ALiCE Training

“Schools are some of the safest places for our children because most schools practice evacuation drills for fires and protective measures for tornadoes,” said West Clermont School District Superintendent Keith Kline. “However, just like practicing monthly fire drills, it’s important that staff knows how to respond in the very unlikely event of an armed intruder,” he added.

7th Grade Immunization Reminder

Attention 7th grade parents: This is a reminder that, according to Section 3701.13 of the Ohio Revised Code, every student entering 7th grade student must provide written proof of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheris, and Pertussis) immunization.  Students will be excluded from school if they do not receive the Tdap vaccine and written proof is not sent to the school.

Please check with your doctor or the Clermont County Health Department at 735-8400 for clinics throughout the summer. If your child has already had the immunization, please be sure to send the written proof to school.

School Supplies

The GEMS 2014-2015 School Supply Lists are available. Now you can take advantage of all of the great back to school sales!

2014-15 Pay to Participate Fees

Friendly reminder:
Pay to Participate Fees are now $250 per athlete. Athletes playing in two or more sports will not pay more that $500 annually. There is no family cap.

This reduction was made possible because of the $3 million realized from salary and benefit concessions made by employees, districtwide cost-containment, and a small increase in state funding. See RESOLUTION 14-37 – CHANGE 2014-2015 PAY TO PARTICIPATE FEE.
