GEMS Medication Pick-Up Reminder
If your child has medication (prescribed or over the counter) in the health clinic, it must be picked up by the end of the school year by a parent or guardian. No medications can be sent home with a student! If not picked up, it will be disposed of appropriately. If medications are needed for next school year, 2016-2017, a new West Clermont Authorization for Medication Administration must be completed by the doctor and signed by the parent or guardian. These forms can be picked up at school or can be found on the district website. All medications must be brought to school by a parent or guardian along with the completed form next year. We may not keep any medications at school without the proper documentation.
Wishing you a fantastic and sunny Summer!

GEMS Maintenance Update
On Thursday morning, 5/19/16, GEMS had a sewage backup around 9:30am . The maintenance was quickly called and the affected restrooms/hallways were closed. While maintenance was unclogging the pipe, the custodial staff cleaned the hallway. They then sanitized each bathroom that was affected. Everything was back to normal within ½ hour. The Board of Health stopped by around 1:00pm the same day and gave us a clean inspection. Our number one priority is to keep students and staff safe and provide an optimal environment for teaching and learning. We will continue to be diligent in our efforts!
