Preliminary state testing data from the 17-18 school year is out and we can proudly say that West Clermont High School will be one of the top schools in Ohio in one year academic growth! Some of the highlights for West Clermont High School from the preliminary state testing data includes:
• A nearly 15-point increase in the overall academic performance index from a combined average of 72.7 for Amelia and Glen Este in 2016-2017 to 87.52 for West Clermont High School in 2017-2018.
• A performance index of 87.52 is the highest P/I score the high school has had over the last four years of the current state testing model.
• Students passed the state mandated end of course exams at or above the state average in all subject areas (Algebra, Geometry, English/Language Arts I, English/Language Arts II, American History, Government, and Biology), after failing to meet the state average in all areas during the 2016-2017 school year.
• The number of students passing the state mandated end of course exams went up by double digits in all subject areas (Algebra, Geometry, English/Language Arts I, English/Language Arts II, American History, Government, and Biology) from the 2016-2017 school year.
14.9% increase in Algebra I

We are working to compile data on our other schools but we wanted to congratulate the entire staff and the students at West Clermont High School for this tremendous accomplishment. While we celebrate the success in year one of the new high school, we understand there is still work to be done. We look forward to another great year in the den and to raising the bar for our entire community.
