Glow Dance! Tonight!
The PTSO will be hosting the WCMS Glow Dance on Friday, Nov. 3, 6th grade dance will be 2:15-4:15 and then the 7th/8th grade dance will be 6:00-8:00. Parents/guardians will pick students up from the dance by entering off of Clough Pike and parking 2 by 2 in the circle. Volunteers will come to the vehicles and call out to get students to the correct vehicle. All parents/guardians will exit using the Amelia Olive Branch exit. Please see the attached map for pick up details! You may park 2 by 2 in the circle or park in the lot by Clough. Conferences – November 16, 2017
Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday, November 16th at WCMS. If you would like to schedule a conference, please contact your student’s ‘Team Facilitator’ to schedule. Conferences are done with teams, so that you can get as much information and perspective as possible to support your child’s academic needs. Please see the organization charts on the email and website per grade to find your child’s team facilitator email. Board Game Club
Who: Any current WCMS student who wants to play board games When: Mondays that we have school, from 2:15p to 3:30p. Here is the club that you all have been waiting for, Sportstastic! Sportstastic is a sports club that will be playing team sports. The focus of this club will be establishing leadership, teamwork, and helping to build friendships through team sports. The sports will include basketball, kickball, soccer, and many more! Sportastic will meet every Monday from 2:20- 3:20 in Miss. Franklin’s room (230). If you are interested in joining the club, fill out the form attached and write at least a one paragraph essay responding to the prompt on the following page. Club members will be selected based on their understanding of the role team sports play in building teamwork, leadership, and friendships. 2017-2018 Middle School Swimming
Practice Dates: November 9, 14, 16, 21, 28, 30 December 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21. All practices start at 5:00p and end at 6:00p at the West Clermont HealthPlex. Participants should enter/exit through the main entrance of the HealthPlex. All swimmers must have a Current OHSAA Physical and be registered in Final Forms. Clermont Co. Library 3 for Me Program
3 for Me program with Clermont Co. Library is beginning! Applications for kids (ages up to 11) and teens (ages 12 and up). They differ in what they can borrow: kids can borrow 3 print items from the children's and juvenile fiction/nonfiction areas; teens can borrow 3 print items up to and including young adult fiction and all nonfiction items. Did you know that children who grow up with as few as 20 books in their home reach a higher level of education than those who don’t? The Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place from November 13-17. Students are encouraged to visit the book fair and find books they will enjoy from a wide array of genres available to them. The book fair will also be open on the conference night: November 16th for families to visit with their students.
Candy Drive for Active Military
Starting next week, Team Nymeria will begin collecting candy for the Yellow Ribbon Support Center. The candy is used in care packages sent to our military men and women stationed overseas. Students should turn in candy to their advisory teacher. Thank you for supporting us in our efforts to help our community.
Veteran’s Day Breakfast – November 10
Thank you for all who have RSVP’d for the Veterans Day Breakfast. The breakfast would take place Friday, November 10th, 2017 in the Main Cafeteria. Your child will meet their guest in the front lobby beginning at 7:15. The breakfast will begin at 7:30 and end by 8:15. Your child will be excused from classes but will still be responsible for making up any work that is missed.
