The lesson is part of a program called Thriving Learning Communities. This character education program is designed to improve students’ social and emotional well-being by focusing on 24 character strengths. Students will soon be taking an individual online assessment to determine their top 5 strengths.  Many parent have enjoyed talking this assessment as well and comparing strengths with their child (ren). Here is the link:  https://www.viacharacter.org/survey/account/register  You could discuss with them how they think their own strengths help them at home and at school.  We are excited about taking a strengths-based approach with your child this school year.
