weekly announcements - Dec 10th

Students who are not participating in a sport, or club are NOT allowed to remain in the Middle School building or on the school grounds. We have noticed an increased number of students are staying at the school to attend athletic events that are hours after the school day ends. This is not permitted due to lack of supervision. If your student would like to attend an event after school, they will have to leave school grounds and return at the time of the event. Students who are found to be at the school property during these times will be instructed to call a parent for a ride.

Student Pick-Up/Drop-Off

Please remember that no parent may use the Clough Pike entrance to WCMS for pick-up or drop-off!  Also when dropping off in the morning please use both drop-off lanes and pull all the way up – everyone will thank you for helping us make the process quick and easy! Please do not try to pull around other vehicles or drive around staff members who are there to ensure that students can cross safely.

MAP Assessments

Students will take the MAP assessments during their core Math and ELA class from December 10 - 21.  Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) is a stat-aligned computerized, adaptive assessment program that provides West Clermont educators with the information they need to improve teaching and learning and make student-focused, data driven decisions.  Students in grades 6-8 are tested three times per year in math and reading. Educators use the growth and achievement data from MAP to develop targeted instructional strategies and to plan school improvement.
