Current 6th grade Parents/Guardians - Required Immunizations
All students entering the 7th grade are required by Ohio law to provide proof of the following vaccinations BEFORE the start of the 2019/2020 school year. TDap Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccination If your student does not receive the TDap and Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccinations by the beginning of the 2019/2020 school year, he/she may be excluded from school beginning September 18th, 2019 in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 3313.671. Here is a link to all of the immunizations required by the Ohio Department of Health for students to attend school: Immunization Summary. We encourage you to contact your primary care physician to schedule an appointment for the vaccinations as soon as possible. You can also contact the Wolves Wellness Center at West Clermont Middle School at 513-732-5082 to schedule an appointment. You may use your current health insurance at the Wolves Wellness Center. However, if you do not have health insurance the vaccinations will be provided by the Wolves Wellness Center at no cost to you. In order to use the Wolves Wellness Center, go online to http://bit.ly/HSOWWC. Find “School Based Health Center Forms and Documents” to complete the consent form needed for an appointment. 6th grade to 7th grade & 7th grade to 8th grade Selector Sheets
In preparation of our 2019-2020 school year, the school counselors will distribute encore selector sheets on Tuesday, February 19th to current 6th and 7th graders. Please review the following informational videos to learn more about completing the encore selector sheets. Your student's signed and completed selector sheet is due to their advisory teacher by Tuesday, February 26th. This is a very important deadline, so please mark your calendars.

7th & 8th Grade Band Concert
The 7th and 8th grade band will perform their winter concert on Thursday, February 21 in the WCMS Performing Arts Center. Seventh graders should report to the band room at 5:30PM for warm-up, and the 7th grade concert will begin at 6:00PM. Eighth graders should report to the band room at 7:15PM, and the 8th grade concert will begin at 7:45PM. Detailed information is attached, and is also available on the band schoology pages. A hard copy of this information was also sent home with students. Concerts are free for all to attend. The 7th and 8th grade bands are excited to share their performances with you next week!
8th Grade “An Evening in Paris” reward dance
8th Grade “An Evening in Paris” reward dance is on Friday, May 3rd from 6 - 8 pm in the WCMS Main gym. Students must be eligible to attend the dance. Eligibility consists of: No more than 1 failed course for 3rd Quarter; Not habitually truant; No office referrals resulting in ISI or out of school suspension from February 11 - May 3. 8th grade DC Trip
Parents of 8th graders going on the Washington D.C. trip, the students leave in just 3 weeks! Be sure to have their permission slip and if needed, their medical form with the correct dosage of medication to us by March 4th so we can document it and have it ready for your students on the trip.
Donations to PTO
The PTO is requesting donations of the items below. The school nurse has an urgent need. She has students needing these items on almost a daily basis. Her stockpile is almost completely depleted. If you can help, please send items into the 6th grade office. Thank you in advance for helping out.

“Be the Difference” Days for Current 7th Graders
During the last week of February, 7th graders at West Clermont Middle School will have the opportunity to take part in the 3rd annual “Be the Difference Day”. Monday February 25 teams 7-4 and 7-5 will participate, Wednesday February 27 teams 7-1 and 7-6, and Friday March 1 teams 7-2 and 7-3. This day's purpose is to promote a positive school climate among our students. The students will experience large and small group activities that promote integrity, compassion, empathy, and acceptance by learning more about themselves and their peers. We cannot wait to challenge our 7th graders with this message: Will you decide to be the difference at West Clermont Middle School?
Course selection for Current 6th and 7th grade
Attention all current 6th & 7th grade families! The school counselors will distribute the 2019-2020 Encore Selector Sheets beginning on Tuesday, February 19th. The Encore Selector Sheets are due back to advisory teachers by Tuesday, February 26th. The school counselors will also create an informational video for 6th & 7th graders in regards to how to complete the Encore Selector Sheet. This informational video will be shared with you the week prior . Please contact your grade-level school counselor with any questions.
Fourth Quarter Schedule Change Request
4th Quarter Schedule Changes will be due by Monday, March 1st. We will not be accepting schedule changes after this date for 4th quarter. Schedule Change Request forms must be completed to request a schedule change. Schedule Change Request forms will be available in Student Services until March 1st.

WCHS Band Booster Mattress Sale
On Sunday, March 10 from 10am until 5pm The West Clermont Bands is excited to host a one-of-a kind fundraising event; our FIRST ANNUAL mattress sale! This event has been a very successful fundraiser in local school districts for the last 12 years and nationally over the past 14 years. All sizes including special sizes are available. Prices start at $199, and there will be about 25 sets to choose from.
Delivery is available or they can be picked up at the company’s warehouse about 1 to 2 weeks after the sale.
No high pressure sales- just savings to our community. All we ask is that people come in and take a look.
Cheerleading Tryouts 2019
Become a WCMS Cheerleader for the 2019 fall season! Tryout information meeting Thursday February 21st 6-7pm WCMS South MPR Information about our Football sideline and Competition programs will be available at the meeting. Meet the Coaches and learn more about the tryout process. Tryout Dates Clinics: Monday 3/11 5:30-7:30pm; Tuesday 3/12 5:30-7:30pm; Thursday 3/13 5:30-7:30pm. Final Tryouts: Thursday 3/14 beginning at 3pm Clinics and Final Tryout will take place in the WCMS North Gym; All candidates must have a current sports physical on file to participate in clinics and final tryouts. The world-famous Harlem Wizards will visit West Clermont High School on Thursday, March 7th at 7:00pm (doors open at 6:00) for an evening of great fun and fundraising. 7th and 8th Graders Interested in Running Track: Please make sure you Final Forms is up to date and you have a valid physical or you will NOT be allowed to participate. Mandatory practice begins March 4th. Please bring your signed permission slip with you to practice. Finally, register for Remind for important communication.
Any 8th grade girls interested in trying out for high school volleyball in the Fall, there will be an informational meeting at WCHS at 315 on February 25th in Community Room A. Please plan on attending, summer calendars and important dates will be given out during this meeting. If you have any questions please see Coach K.
2019/2020 Football Conditioning
Hello Wolves We will be starting football conditioning for 2019-20 7th and 8th Grade . We will start this coming Saturday February 16th at 8:00am and go till 9:30am. We look forward to seeing everyone. We will continue this each Saturday thru end of April.
Parent Education Series
Our next #WCconnects Parent Education Series session entitled, "Teen Driving Safety" will be held on Thursday March 28th at West Clermont High School. There will be one session from 6:00pm - 7:00pm. The session is free and open to the public.
Attention all parents and guardians of preschool-age children! You are now able to apply for the West Clermont Wolf Pup preschool program for the 2019-2020 school year. The online lottery will be open until 5:00pm on February 20th.
Student Requirements for Enrollment:
Students must be 3 years of age on or before September 30, 2019.
Students who are 5 years of age on or before September 30, 2019, are not eligible for the WCSD preschool program.
Families must reside in the West Clermont School District.
Students must be toilet trained.
